Classic Cakes @ CakeConnection

At last I managed to attend the Classic Cakes by Joanne Fam (WMI hall of fame & mcdc founder) at CakeConnection on 16 April 2009. She showed us how to bake the classic butter cake with traditional buttercream, carrot cake with cream cheese & chocolate cake with chocolate ganache topping. I do admire her creation so I just slot-in my time to attend her class....

Attended the International Cakes & Decorations by Chef Asma at BWY.....& the cakes are Chocolate Mashmallow Slice, Chocolate Banana Treasure, Strawberry Charlotte Royal Dome & Mocha Walnut Torte...we can see most of the cakes they serve in hotel....

Fondant Carrot Cake

My sister's friend, Nurul from UiTM Sarawak ordered a 2kgs of Carrot Cake & she wants a fondant with simple deco as long as the roses are purple in colour for her engagement on 10 April 2009 at her hometown, Taiping, Perak. A simple deco with purple gumpaste roses & the cake almost 3.5kgs after completed.... Thanks sis for the order & hope both of you like it.
